Fr Anthony Girolami assumed the role as the Clergy Care Coordinator for active clergy within the Clergy Life and Ministry Office in the Archdiocese in February 2026. This role has a particular focus on caring for the physical and mental health as well as the wellbeing of clergy who are on appointment in the Archdiocese, as well as care for retired Bishops.

Promoting a culture of health and wellbeing from seminary through to retirement and beyond, helps ensure that clergy, in both their public pastoral ministry and private life, has access to resources that support optimal physically, emotionally and psychologically.

Fr Anthony is supported by his team comprising a Wellbeing Advisor and Occupational Therapist (Trinh Nguyen), an Executive Assistant (Susanah Tan) and Administration Officer (Huong Nguyen). The team meets fortnightly to provide updates on the status of projects, events, and seminars, while also checking in to ensure that the team is well.

Since commencing in July 2023, Trinh has supported individual clergy by responding to their needs, conducting home and parish visits, developing and implementing health and wellbeing initiatives,

including the 10,000 Steps Challenge, health and wellbeing events and webinars, etc. and all while working closely with the Clergy Care Team.

Some of the available resources to assist clergy to proactively managed his health and wellbeing
include:
- Support for those newly ordained
- Newly appointed administrator or parish priest
- International clergy - inter-culturation, education and training
- Conferences and gatherings for cross cultural ministry
- Access to psychologist services – Clergy Assistance Program (CAP)
- Retirement planning
- Provide practical and logistical support to individual clergy who experiences an episode of acute
health problems
- Facilitate hospital discharge and accessing health services 
- Conduct Functional capacity assessment,  advocate for and refer to appropriate support
